How to share an Account with another User
There may be times where you want to Share an Account with another user in your team. Sharing a record is not transferring ownership but rather allowing someone else in your team to access the Account and related records.
If you want to share an Account, then only records directly related to the Account will be shared. In a case where you wanted the other user to see, for example Life Benefits or Loan Splits, and you shared the Account, the other user will not see these records because they are not directly associated with the Account.
- In the example of a Life Benefit, a Life Benefit is directly related to a Life Policy and a Contact, but not the Account. So you need to manually share the Life Policy with the other user and then they will see the Life Benefits.
- In the example of a Loan Split, a Loan Split is directly related to a Loan, but not the Account. So you need to manually share the Loan with the other user and then they will see the Loan Splits.
- In the example of a Portfolio, a Portfolio is directly related to the Investment but not the Account. So you need to manually share the Investment with the other user, then they will see the Portfolios.
See the example below of sharing an Account with another user, and then manually sharing a Policy with the other user.
