Expected fields not showing in Contact page
If you are not seeing the fields you expect to see when you open a Contact, then you need to check to make sure that your Contact Type is either Client, Partner or Dependent. If you have added your own custom values to the Contact Type record, then this will cause the issue and your page fields will not show properly.
See screenshot below, and the Contact Type will determine your Layout and the Layout Type will determine what fields you see.
